Never Miss a Dose
Managing chronic conditions requires consistent medication adherence. MedxVerse Medicine Refills makes it easy to reorder your regular medications without the hassle of booking a new consultation every time.
What is Medicine Refill?
Medicine Refill is a service that allows you to request repeat prescriptions for medications you are already taking for chronic conditions. Instead of booking a full consultation, a doctor reviews your refill request and can approve it if your condition is stable.
Eligibility for Medicine Refills
You may be eligible for a medicine refill if:
- You have a chronic condition: Diabetes, hypertension, asthma, arthritis, etc.
- Your condition is stable: No new symptoms or complications since your last consultation.
- You have a valid prescription: From a MedxVerse doctor within the last 3–6 months.
- Your medication is working: No side effects or need for dosage adjustments.
How to Request a Medicine Refill
- Open Medicine Refills: In the MedxVerse app, tap on Medicine Refills from the main menu.
- Select Medication: Choose the medication you need to refill from your active prescriptions list.
- Answer Health Questions: Provide brief updates about your condition and confirm you have no new symptoms.
- Submit Request: Review and submit your refill request.
- Doctor Review: A doctor will review your request, usually within a few hours.
- Receive Approval: Once approved, your e-prescription will be available in your account.
- Order Medications: Use the prescription to order medications through our partner pharmacies.
Medicine Refill Pricing
- Medicine Refill Request: ₦2,000 – Doctor review fee.
- Urgent Refill (within 2 hours): ₦3,500 – Priority processing.
- Auto-Refill Setup: Free – No additional charge.
- Medication Cost: Varies depending on the prescribed medication.
Setting Up Automatic Refills
For medications you take regularly, set up automatic refills to ensure you never run out:
- Enable Auto-Refill: In the Medicine Refills section, select the medication and toggle Auto-Refill.
- Set Refill Schedule: Choose how many days before you run out you want the refill request submitted.
- Confirm Details: Verify your delivery address and preferred pharmacy.
- Automatic Processing: The system automatically requests refills and processes orders based on your schedule.
Refill Reminders
Stay on top of your medication schedule with our reminder system:
- Low Supply Alert: Notification when you have about 7 days of medication remaining.
- Refill Due Reminder: Alert when its time to request your next refill.
- Daily Medication Reminders: Optional reminders to take medications at scheduled times.
- Prescription Expiry Alert: Warning before your prescription authorization expires.
When a Consultation is Required
A full consultation may be necessary instead of a simple refill if:
- New symptoms appear: Changes in your condition require medical evaluation.
- Medication not working: If symptoms are not controlled with current treatment.
- Side effects: Experiencing adverse reactions to medication.
- Dosage adjustment needed: Your doctor needs to modify your treatment plan.
- Long gap since last consultation: Usually more than 6 months for most chronic conditions.
